Al-Burhan Receives Credentials of Iranian Ambassador and Affirms Commitment to Developing Relations

Sudanese Sovereign Council Chairman Abdel Fattah al-Burhan affirmed the strong relations between his country and Iran and the commitment to developing these ties.
This statement was made today (Sunday) during the ceremony where Al-Burhan received the credentials of the new Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Sudan, Hassan Shah Hosseini, as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of his country to Sudan.
Sudanese Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin stated that the Chairman of the Sovereign Council welcomed the new Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasising the strong relations between Sudan and Iran. He noted that the presentation of the ambassador’s credentials marks the beginning of a new phase in the bilateral relations between the two countries.
For his part, the Iranian Ambassador stated that presenting his credentials is part of the mutual agreement between the two countries regarding exchanging ambassadors and enhancing bilateral relations. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Chairman of the Sovereign Council for accepting his credentials, affirming that he will make every effort to strengthen cooperative relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Sudan. He also confirmed that his country supports Sudan’s national sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
