Iran’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned recent Israeli airstrikes on Houthi civilian infrastructure in Yemen, with a spokesman labeling the attacks a “war crime” and a “crime against humanity.” According to reports from the Houthi-run Al Masirah TV, the strikes on the capital city of Sanaa resulted in the deaths of two civilians and injuries to five others.
The Iranian spokesman stated that Israel’s repeated targeting of economic and civilian sites in Yemen, including airports, ports, and power plants, demonstrates its hostility toward the region’s development. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed carrying out airstrikes on Houthi targets in Sanaa, claiming the sites included a military complex and fuel storage facilities. The condemned attacks are part of the broader conflict in the Middle East, with tensions running high between Israel and Iran-backed groups.
