Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on 12 April 2026, during which the Kremlin underscored Moscow’s firm readiness to assist in achieving a political and diplomatic resolution to the ongoing conflict surrounding Iran, according to the Kremlin’s press service.
During the call, Pezeshkian briefed Putin on the Iran-United States talks that recently took place in Islamabad, offering his assessment of the diplomatic proceedings.
