Grant of 90 Million Yuan from China to Implement Vital Projects in Sudan

The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and the People’s Republic of China signed on Saturday a grant agreement of 90 million Chinese yuan, equivalent to 13 million dollars, for implementing different vital projects in Sudan.

The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim has signed for Sudan government, while the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Ma Xinmin, signed for his country.

The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning has praised China’s supportive stances for Sudan and its continuous efforts in providing assistance in various fields, expressing his hope that the relations between the two countries will witness progress in the establishment of strategic projects for the benefit to the two friendly peoples.

He pointed out that Sudan is a country rich with its potentialities and natural resources, and that the cooperation with the developed countries will helps developing products and achieving benefits for all parties.
On his part, the Ambassador of China to Sudan affirmed his country’s readiness to provide more technical and economic assistance to Sudan and to strengthen further the relations at all levels to achieve the common interests for the peoples of the two countries.
