Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has stated that North Korea’s military assistance to Russia will become a part of the two nations’ shared “history of friendship.” Medvedev, who is the deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, made these remarks during a visit to North Korea, framing the military cooperation as a natural extension of their long-standing bilateral ties.

Medvedev emphasized that the support provided by North Korea is legitimate and is aimed at helping Russia in its ongoing conflict in Ukraine. He praised the “comradely help” from Pyongyang and suggested that such cooperation strengthens the strategic partnership between the two countries, which have grown closer since the start of the war.

This public acknowledgment of military aid highlights the deepening alliance between Moscow and Pyongyang. The collaboration is portrayed as a symbol of their mutual support and shared strategic interests against a common geopolitical backdrop.
